Daikon in Korean. Spicy Japanese Radish Salad

Daikon is a Japanese radish with unique beneficial properties, reminiscent of a large white root. This vegetable is used raw, fried, stewed and pickled.

Daikon is a great base for fresh vegetable salads. It has a more delicate taste than regular radish, but not everyone likes its pungent smell. Therefore, after slicing, it can be soaked in cold water for a short time (for 5-7 minutes) or simply rinsed in running water.

We offer you a simple and quick recipe for Korean daikon in a spicy marinade with garlic. This salad is perfect with fried meat or boiled fish and will be the perfect addition to a family lunch or a gala dinner.

For the recipe, choose an even daikon root, without damage. The amount of hot peppers and garlic can be increased, remember that spiciness is the hallmark of Korean salads. Vinegar is best used with apple cider or wine.
