Sponge cake with caramel icing

There is no need to complicate things as they might actually be. So in the case of our baked goods, everything is extremely simple. In fact, making a biscuit is as easy as shelling pears, you just need to know some subtleties and follow our recipe. And then the process will seem even entertaining, and the result will be amazing ...

The first step is to make a fluffy sponge cake. In a deep bowl, break all the eggs, add sugar in portions and grind until smooth.

Sift flour separately, mix with salt, vanilla and baking powder. Add softened butter and milk to the beaten eggs and stir slowly. Add flour little by little and whisk into a medium batter.

Grease a special baking dish generously with oil and transfer the biscuit dough there and send to the preheated oven. Cook for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

In the meantime, while our biscuit is baking, we will prepare the caramel icing; melt butter and put brown sugar in it. Cook over low heat for a couple of minutes and add milk immediately. Bring to a light boil, stirring, continue to cook on low heat for another 5 minutes. Then remove from the stove and cool. After adding powdered sugar, mix until smooth.

Before coating with caramel icing, the biscuit must be divided into two cakes, but before that the baked goods must be allowed to cool. First brush the bottom top with caramel, add the other half and spread the remaining frosting over the entire cake.

This is a fairly simple recipe for making a homemade sponge cake that is whipped up. The process is time-tested and does not require much effort.
