Probably, for most of us, it would be more familiar and much easier to just fry the cauliflower in batter, which in itself turns out to be very tasty. But for a change, from that very unique product like cauliflower, you can cook many great other dishes that will look much more solemn and will proudly decorate the festive table.
In many ways, the principle of cooking cauliflower does not have any significant differences. The first stage is boiling, which in most cases is an obligatory process. But in further stages, you can safely experiment and prepare a special dish, one might even say festive.
How to cook cauliflower in batter
First of all, you need to divide the cabbage into moderately small inflorescences, rinse in water, preferably warm, and boil in salted water for about 5-8 minutes.
The batter is prepared from standard products - these are eggs and flour. To do this, drive all the eggs into a deep bowl, salt and sprinkle with pepper. Add ginger and beat briefly. Then pour corn and wheat flour over the eggs, stir until smooth and soak the boiled cauliflower in them.
Then heat the oil in a skillet. Saute the cabbage for a short time, until light golden brown. Transfer the buds to a clean napkin and let the fat drain.
In the same skillet, saute the diced onions, bell peppers, add the chopped garlic and saute until the vegetables are soft.
Then add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, pour in some soy sauce, add chilli, stir and continue simmering for another 2-3 minutes.
Transfer the fried cabbage inflorescences to the vegetables and fry for 2 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring vigorously again.
When ready, transfer the contents of the skillet to a flat plate and sprinkle generously with chopped green onions. Thus, we prepared cauliflower not only in batter, but also with a fragrant side dish, which is not a shame to serve to guests as a complete dish.
