How to make matcha shortbread

Beat the softened butter with a mixer until the mass becomes more fluffy.

Next, add sugar, beat in egg yolks, a teaspoon of vanilla powder and mix thoroughly.

Sift flour over the creamy mass, add a pinch of salt and mix in a moderately sticky dough.

Divide the finished shortbread dough into two equal parts, add tea powder to one of them and continue kneading.

Part of the white and green dough should be separated and rolled out into a long sausage of equal diameter.

Turn on the oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees. Lay the parchment paper and lay out the rolled pieces of dough on the edge of the paper as follows: first put one white and one green, and on top of them, on top of white - green, and on top of green - white. Gently wrap with parchment, squaring the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Moderately hardened dough must be cut into certain pieces, approximately 1, 5 cm.

Put the dough pieces on a baking sheet and send to bake for 15-20 minutes, until slightly golden brown. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

When ready, you need to let the baked goods cool a little, and after that you can consume shortbread cookies with matcha tea.
