Salmon salad under a fur coat

The table of many family holidays is decorated not only with the main dishes. On the eve of the New Year, puff fish salads, which have become traditional and loved due to the variety of ingredients and tastes, are especially popular. Salmon under a fur coat is a topical and satisfying snack of a festive evening, the appearance of which serves as a signal for the beginning of the feast.

This is another version of the classic fish puff salad. Only instead of herring, salmon is taken as a basis - a red fish from the noble genera of salmon.

Fish salad under a fur coat - recipe step by step

Boil all vegetables, except onions, in salted water until tender. Try not to boil it. The cooking time for potatoes is 20-30 minutes, carrots and beets are cooked a little more from 30 to 40 minutes.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes, like for an Olivier salad.

In the same way, we cut the carrots into even squares.

Cut the boiled beets into not too long cubes.

Next, mix all the chopped ingredients separately with a small amount of mayonnaise, about 2-3 tablespoons per specified amount. First, caulk the potatoes with mayonnaise, add salt if necessary.

Then, put 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise in the carrots and stir gently.

We also mix the cream sauce with the beets separately.

Cut the smoked fish into thin slices, which we cut into smaller pieces. Cut the onions into small pieces.

Next, we proceed to decorate the fish salad "under a fur coat". To do this, lay out all the sliced ​​products in a special removable ring in layers as follows: first salmon, onions with a second layer, then carrots and potatoes on top. Trim and tamp slightly.

And with the final layer, put the beets on top of everything, level them, cover them with polyethylene and put the dish in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Before serving, remove the ring and decorate it as desired - with fish and branches of fresh herbs.
