Bigus with pork in a slow cooker

At first glance, it may seem that Bigus is not just stewed cabbage with meat, but the Poles do not think so, for them it is a whole art, and they certainly understand this and know how to cook a real Bigus with cabbage and pork.

To prepare a dish, you need the simplest products, for which you do not need to travel far. Everything you need can be bought at the supermarket and not expensive. And we will cook bigus with pork in a multicooker, which will greatly facilitate the process and save us time.

Classic recipe for bigus with cabbage and pork

The pork should be washed well and dried with a disposable tea towel. Cut the meat into small pieces. Heat the oil in a multicooker bowl, put the pork pieces and fry for a short time.

Rinse the cabbage, and if the top sheets are very dirty, then they must be removed, and the rest should be chopped into strips. Peel the onion and cut into arbitrary wedges, and rub the carrots. Chop the sausage and add everything to the meat, including the sauerkraut.

Add salt, pepper, spices and tomato paste. Pour 200 ml of boiled water and close the lid. Set the "Extinguishing" mode, set the timer for 40 minutes and start the unit.

10 minutes before the end of the program, mix the contents of the multicooker thoroughly and, when ready, put the stewed cabbage with meat in a saucer and sprinkle with chopped herbs on top.

Serve bigus with pork and sausages on a large beautiful platter and enjoy the great taste and fantastic aroma of a hearty dinner that our men love so much. Meat can be accompanied by selected red wine or a glass of strong dark beer.
