Homemade chicken pate

Delicious homemade chicken pate is a simple, but at the same time quite gourmet appetizer that can be served on the festive table or diversified its daily menu. To prepare this dish, you will need inexpensive products that are always at hand.

The amount and composition of spices can be changed to your liking. Choose small chicken quarters for homemade pâté, and dry white wine for a savory taste. If serving for a children's table is planned, the wine can be replaced with unsweetened juice or milk. Alternatively, you can make fish pate.

Chicken Pate Step by Step

Rinse chicken quarters in running water, dry with a towel. Rub the slices with salt and pepper, bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Cool the quarters, remove the skin and bones.

Peel the onion, chop it in half rings.

Rinse carrots, peel, cut into 3 mm thick slices.

Fry the onions and carrots until lightly browned in a pan in vegetable oil. Add chicken, spices, salt and pepper. Pour in wine and lemon juice. Simmer under the lid for 20 minutes until the liquid evaporates.

Cool the prepared mass, transfer to the blender bowl.

Add dried walnuts, butter at room temperature. Beat the mixture until smooth.

Transfer the homemade pate into clean dry jars with tight lids, serve with toast and fresh herbs.
