Pangasius is a river predatory fish with a slightly sweetish taste and reasonable price, thanks to which seafood is gaining popularity and has become widely used in cooking. A wide variety of delicious dishes are prepared from it. Pangasius can be boiled, baked, or fried. We offer to cook pangasius fillet with vegetables in the oven, which is perfect for a festive table or a small family celebration.
When choosing a carcass, give preference to white fish. Defrost the carcass at room temperature until it can be cut into portions. Spices are allowed to vary, but cumin and thyme are highly recommended. Also, for the recipe, fatty mayonnaise and a fleshy pink tomato are preferable.
Grate the carrots. Peel the onion, cut into half rings.
Saute the onions and carrots until light golden brown. Add finely chopped herbs, spices and salt.
Cut the pangasius into 2 cm wide portions, season with salt and pepper. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, put the fish.
Lay the prepared vegetables on top, grease them with mayonnaise.
Peel the tomato from the sepals, cut into semicircles. Place on top of vegetables.
Bake the dish at 200 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
Transfer the dish to a serving plate, garnish with cucumber slices and herbs.
Pangasius has the most delicate structure and a pleasant fishy taste, emphasized by the aromas of spices, herbs and vegetables.
Pangasius fish is exported from Vietnam, undergoes strict sanitary control and goes on sale in a convenient cut - fillet without skin and bones. So take note of the recipe and be sure to cook it on occasion.
