Lecho with rice for the winter is a delicious appetizer in itself and an addition to any meat dish. A couple of such jars on hand will always help out in an unforeseen situation.
Cooking time 50 minutes
Water 400 ml
Tomatoes 300 g
Bulgarian pepper 300 g
Carrots 300 g
Bulb onions 200 g
Tomato paste 100 g
Vinegar 9% 80 ml
Unrefined sunflower oil TM "Aleika" 50 ml
Sugar 1 tbsp. l.
Ground black pepper to taste
Peel onions, carrots, bell peppers.
Add finely chopped onions and grated carrots. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes.
Add coarsely chopped bell peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the diced tomatoes and tomato paste.
Add salt, sugar and black pepper.
Add 2 cups of water and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, pour 80 ml of 9% vinegar at the end and stir.
Divide into clean and dry jars.
Tighten the lids and leave warm until they cool completely.
Lecho with rice for the winter is ready. Store in a cellar.
