A fragrant strawberry compote for the winter, this is a real piece of summer on a winter day.
Cooking time 30 minutes
Fresh victoria (strawberry) 1 kg
Water 1 l
Sugar 200 g
Citric acid 1/4 tsp
Sort out the berries.
Wash well and remove ponytails.
Fold the berries in clean jars up to about half.
Boil water and add sugar, when syrup boils add citric acid.
Pour syrup into jars and cork.
Wrap in heat for 12 hours.
Strawberry compote is ready for the winter. Store the cooled compote in a cool place.
