This vegetable snack for the winter, made from sweet bell peppers and carrots, keeps well and goes well with many dishes. And simply spread on bread in winter quickly disappears from the can.
Cooking time 40 minutes
Sweet green pepper 1 kg
Onion 300 g
Carrots 200 g
Water 200 ml
Tomato paste 120 g
Vegetable oil 50 ml
Sugar (sand) (to taste) 2 tbsp. l.
Vinegar 9% (to taste) 2 tbsp. l.
Salt 1 tbsp l.
Wash and peel the peppers.
Cut the peppers into slices.
Peel the onions and carrots. Dice the onion and grate the carrots.
Place vegetables in a deep saucepan or cauldron.
Add tomato paste and vegetable oil. Stir and add water.
Simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes. Add salt, sugar and vinegar. Mix.
Arrange in sterile jars and roll up. Remove for a day under a fur coat.
A vegetable snack for the winter is ready. Store in a cellar.
