Easter nests

Easter nests, an original version of Easter baking. Such nests with eggs will pleasantly surprise guests.

Cooking time 1 hour 20 minutes


Wheat flour of the highest grade 350 g

Dry yeast 10 g

Cream 10% fat. 200 pcs

Eggs 2 pcs

Butter 70 g

Salt 1/2 tsp

Sugar 2-3 tbsp. l.

Poppy 1 tbsp. l.


Dissolve dry yeast in half of the warmed-up cream, add sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour. Leave on for 15 minutes.

Sift flour into a bowl, add 2 whites and 1 yolk, melted butter and salt.

Knead not very tough dough, cover with a towel and let rise. Knead the dough again and let it rest.

Divide into small pieces, roll a flagellum out of each and join in two, pinch the edges with a ring.

Put on a baking sheet and put a boiled egg in each. Leave on for another 15 minutes. Remove eggs, coat with the remaining yolk and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake in a heated oven for 25-30 minutes at 180-200 degrees C.

Remove, cover with a towel, allow to cool and insert the painted eggs.
