Wish cookie

Wish cookies, interesting fun that will not let your guests get bored at the table.

Cooking time 1 hour

Wheat flour 2 stack.

Butter 200 g

Sugar 1/2 cup

Egg (yolks) 2 pcs

Dried fruits (nuts) 1 stack.

Salt to taste

Parchment (for recording wishes)

Mash the softened butter with sugar, when the grains of sand stop creaking under the spoon, salt, add flour, then the yolks, which will bind the crumbly mass into a homogeneous smooth dough. If there is not enough egg moisture, add a little cool water until the desired consistency is achieved.

Wrap the dough in a plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

Filling: rinse dried fruits, if they are too hard - soak for 15 minutes in cool water. Can be cut into large pieces or put whole.

Cut the parchment paper into small, narrow strips and write your wishes (depending on the event you are preparing the surprise for).

Roll out the cooled dough into a thin layer - 1.5-2 mm. If it starts to crumble, you can leave the layer thicker, it will still turn out delicious.

Use a round cookie cutter to cut the cookies - about the size of a bowl or a large teacup (the larger the diameter, the easier it will be for you to shape the cookie). Put the filling in the center of the circle, add notes with wishes rolled up in tubes there.

Fold the dough circle in half and fasten the semicircular edges of the cookies, crushing them, like with dumplings.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.

Good appetite!
