This delicious cheese cake is a gem of Caucasian cuisine.

Cooking time 20 minutes


Flour 600 g

Eggs 2 pcs

Butter 50 g

Milk 3.2% fat. 250 ml

Salt 1 tsp

Dry yeast 2 tsp

Suluguni cheese (but mozzarella may also work) 250 g


Start the dough by mixing 600 g flour, eggs, 50 g butter, 250 ml. milk and 1 tsp. salt, adding 2 tsp. dry yeast. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

Grate the cheese and mold a ball out of it.

Roll out the dough and place the cheese in the center and close it by molding the edges of the dough.

Roll out, place on a baking sheet, brush with an egg and make a few small cuts in the center.

Bake at 200C until a beautiful golden brown crust is formed.

Let cool slightly and serve khachapuri to the table.
