Each of us is familiar with the taste of Khvorost cookies since childhood and hardly anyone will refuse a piece of this crunchy delicacy.
Cooking time 30 minutes
Unrefined sunflower oil TM "Aleika" 500 ml
Eggs 2 pcs
Powdered sugar 50 g
Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Cognac 2 tbsp. l.
Salt 1 pinch.
Break 2 eggs into a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 pinch of salt. Whisk well.
Add 2 tablespoons of cognac and stir.
Knead the dough well in a bowl until clean.
Wrap the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Divide the dough into two and roll it into thin layers, half a centimeter thick.
Cut into strips.
Cut the strips into rhombuses.
Make a longitudinal cut in each rhombus and turn one edge through it.
Form each diamond.
Heat 0.5 liters of natural unrefined sunflower oil TM "Aleika", which does not foam or burn, in a deep saucepan and fry the brushwood in parts for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Place on a dish with paper towels to remove excess oil.
Place on a large platter and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
