Cabbage soup with mushrooms

Everyone should try traditional Russian cabbage soup with fresh cabbage and mushrooms. This recipe will help you prepare delicious, aromatic cabbage soup with mushrooms.

Cooking time 40 minutes


Porcini mushrooms 3-5 pcs

Pearl barley 30 g

Potatoes 2 pcs

White cabbage 150 g

Dill (greens) 1 bunch

Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.

Onion 1 pc

Water 3 l

Bay leaf 2 pcs

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste


Peel the onion, wash the mushrooms.

Finely chop the onion, cut the mushrooms into slices. Fry onion with mushrooms in vegetable oil for 3-5 minutes.

Boil the pearl barley separately until tender. Rinse well.

Put cereals and diced potatoes in a saucepan. Cover with water and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Add finely chopped cabbage and dill. Add bay leaves and mushrooms with onions. Keep on low heat, covered for 3 minutes. Remove bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper.

Pour into plates and serve.
