Canned red beans 1 pc
Smoked pork knuckle 250 g
Onion 1 pc
Potatoes 1-2 pcs
Carrot 1 pc
Tomato paste 2 tbsp l.
Garlic clove 2 pcs
Bay leaf to taste
Dried basil to taste

Finely chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil.
Cut the shank into medium cubes and add to the onion.
Cut the potatoes into cubes.
Cut the carrots into cubes and fry in vegetable oil.
Stew the beans separately, adding tomato paste, boiling water, salt and pepper to taste and garlic passed through a press.
Pour 2.5 liters of water into a saucepan and let it boil. Put onion and shank, add potatoes and carrots. Let it boil and cook until the potatoes are tender. Finally, add 2-3 bay leaves and dried basil to taste.
