Lard with dry salting

Cooking delicious bacon with dry salting. This recipe will tell you how to properly salt lard with dry salting.

Cooking time 30 minutes


Pork fat 300 g

Salt 50 g

Ground black pepper 1 tsp.

Bay leaf 1-2 pcs


Peel 300 grams of lard with a knife.

Slice the bacon lengthwise.

Mix 50 grams of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper and 1 teaspoon of chopped bay leaves into plates.

Dip slices of lard in spiced salt on all sides.

Put bacon in a container, close the lid.

Refrigerate for 2 days.

Put the finished bacon out of the container, blot it with paper towels and put it in a cling film in the freezer for storage.

Lard with dry salting is ready. You can serve salted bacon to the table or take it with you for fishing, hunting and outdoor recreation.
