Chicken liver stewed with pearl barley

Chicken liver stewed with pearl barley is a delicious, easy to prepare and inexpensive dish that can feed the whole family.

Chicken liver 500 g

Water 500-800 ml

Carrots 2 pcs

Onion 1 pc

Unrefined sunflower oil TM "Aleika" 3 tbsp. l.

Ground black pepper to taste

Salt to taste


Cover with warm water and leave for 1 hour.

Transfer the cereal to a saucepan, pour 500 milliliters of water and cook, after boiling, reduce the heat and cook for 20 minutes.

Rinse 500 grams of chicken liver, peel the onion and two carrots.

Add diced carrots and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Add chopped chicken liver.

Stir the semi-finished barley.

Fry the liver with carrots and onions for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Add barley to the liver.

Add 300 ml of water and simmer covered for 20 minutes over medium heat.

Chicken liver stewed with pearl barley is ready.

Place in a ceramic pot or place on plates and serve.
