Red bean lobio

Red bean lobio with walnuts and aromatic spices, one of the most delicious dishes of Georgian cuisine.

Cooking time 1 hour


Red beans 200 g

Walnuts 100 g

Onion 1 pc

Zira pinches.

Hops-suneli 1/2 tsp

Vegetable oil 3 tbsp. l.

Salt to taste


Soak red beans in water overnight.

Boil the beans until tender and cool.

Peel the onions, sort out the nuts.

Fry finely chopped onions in a pan with vegetable oil.

Add spices and fry the onion well.

Grind the nuts into crumbs. Put boiled beans, spiced onion and nuts in a bowl.

Salt and stir well. Let it brew.

Divide into bowls. Decorate with nuts, herbs.

Our delicious red bean lobio is ready. Can be served at the table.
