Barley porridge with mushrooms

Barley porridge with mushrooms is a hearty and simple dish that is perfect for your lean table.

Cooking time 30 minutes


Pearl barley 120 g

Dried mushrooms 30 g

Onion 1 pc

Carrot 1 pc

Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.

Salt to taste


Soak the pearl barley in water overnight.

Turn until tender and drain off.

Soak the mushrooms in hot water for 10-15 minutes.

In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry finely chopped onions and chopped soaked mushrooms.

Add grated carrots and pearl barley, cook covered over medium heat for 10-12 minutes. Salt.

Our pearl barley porridge with mushrooms is ready. Arrange on plates and serve.
