Fettuccine with tomato sauce

Heat the vegetable oil, add finely chopped onions and garlic.

Add finely chopped green onions and fry for 1-2 minutes.

Add diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. Add 1/4 cup water and dried basil. Simmer over medium heat for another 5 minutes, covered.

Boil the pasta in salted water until tender, drain the water.

Transfer the pasta to the sauce immediately.

Stir well and place on plates. Serve hot.
