Chicken in Catalan

Delicate chicken fillet, vegetables and white rice, a beautiful, aromatic and unusual combination in one dish, which is great for a festive table and does not require much time.

Cooking time 30 minutes


Chicken breast fillet 4-5 pcs

Rice 200 g

Pitted black canned olives 100 g

Cherry tomatoes 100 g

Red bell pepper 2 pcs

Onion 1 pc

Olive oil 3-4 tbsp l.

Dried basil 1/2 tsp

Salt to taste


Rinse and dry the chicken fillet.

Season with salt and season well with dry basil.

Fry in olive oil on both sides until golden brown, 2-3 minutes.

Coarsely chop the pepper and onion.

Fry the peppers for 1-2 minutes.

Add onion, cook for 2 minutes.

Add chicken breasts on top.

Cut the cherry tomatoes into halves.

Add tomatoes and olives to the chicken.

Add some water and salt. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes over low heat.

Boil rice as a garnish until cooked and put in a deep dish.

Add the breasts with the gravy on top.
